These shoes fit very well and are as comfortable as tennis shoes even with a 40 lb. pack. The soles grip rocks very well as well as ascending and descending off trail. My only problem is that the boots say "waterproof" yet the leak terribly if submerged in the least bit. I found this "leak" on a trip unfortunately - HEY GOLITE - if its not waterproof you shouldn't advertise it!
