This is my first quilt - think sleeping bag without a zipper that loosely wraps around your sleeping pad - and its much more comfortable than the mummy bag. What I like... - much wider at the waist than a mummy bag to accommodate all sorts of sleeping positions. - on warm nights 70+ it can be draped over you and easily kicked off to let your legs or arms breath. - on cold nights it can be strapped around your sleeping pad and snapped around your neck, leaving you totally covered and warm (assuming your sleeping pad is insulted, my neo-air is great for this). - it packs small. - it is light. - down filling is luxurious. One minor area for improvement; the stuff sack isn't totally water resistant.
